I HAVE BEEN MARRIED FOR 26YEARS HAVE 2 CHILDREN 25
AND 27. I HAVE 2 WEST HIGHLAND TERRIERS ALICE AND REX I LIVE ON A FARM IN
THE COUNTRY NEXT TO THE NORFOLK BROADS,IN A TINY VILLAGE CALLED BARTON
TURF.
I STARTED CRAFTING ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO BUT ONLY SINCE
I HAVE HAD MY BLOG HAVE I REALLY TAKEN IT SERIOUSLY,ESPECIALLY WITH ALTERED
ART,ATCS,AND THINGS.
MY LOVE IS STAMPING AND UNUSUAL IMAGES LIKE PAPER
ARTSY STAMPS,WHICH I ADORE. HOWEVER,I LOVE ELISABETH BELL DESIGNS,AND SARAH KAY
IMAGES TOO AS THEY CAN ALSO HELP CREATE A VINTAGE LOOK.
I AM ABOUT TO HAVE SOME OF MY WORK PUBLISHED IN
CRAFT UK AN AMERICAN BASED MAGAZINE,EDITOR IS JODIE FOSTER. SHE CONTACTED
ME THROUGH MY BLOG TO ASK IF I WOULD ALLOW HER TO PUBLISH MY WORK, THE ADDITION
IS DUE OUT AT THE END OF AUGUST,SHE IS HOPING THAT SOON IT WILL BE
BASED HERE IN THE UK AS SHE WANTS TO GET A WIDE VARIETY OF ART
WORK,VINTAGE,ALONG WITH EVERY DAY CARD MAKING INTO THE UK MARKET.
I AM ALSO ON THE DT AT CREATIVE INSPIRATIONS
CHALLENGE BLOG WHICH I HAVE BEEN ON NOW FOR ABOUT 6MONTHS.I LOVE CREATING THINGS
EVERY 2 WEEKS FOR OUR CHALLENGE,BEING ON A DT AND HAVING A BLOG REALLY MAKES YOU
THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX,AND AS I HAVE SAID I LOVE TO THINK OUTSIDE THE
BOX.
WHEN I DESIGN I LIKE TO LAY OUT MY WORK THEN GO OFF
DO SOMETHING ELSE THEN COME BACK TO IT TAKE ANOTHER LOOK,THEN IT GIVES ME TIME
TO THINK OF COLOUR COMBO,DIFFERENT THINGS I CAN ADD AND TEXTURES.LOVE TO PLAY
WITH MATERIAL,PAINTS,INKS,ANYTHING THAT REQUIRES MESS AND TEXTURE.
I HAVE ALSO HAD A PIECE PUBLISHED IN A MAGAZINE ALL
ABOUT STAMPING,PLUS AM A MEMBER OF TRIMMCRAFT AND WAS MADE ATC DESIGNER 2008
AFTER JOINING LATE LAST YEAR.
I LOVE TO LOOK FOR UNUSUAL THINGS IN CHARITY
SHOPS,OLD ANTIQUE SHOPS,LOOKING FOR JUST THAT BIT EXTRA THAT WOULD WORK ON ATCS
AND CARDS. CEREAL BOXES,ANYTHING LIKE THAT I WILL RIP,TEAR,CREATE JUST FOR
THAT ADDED DETAIL,
BUT MOST OF ALL CRAFT HAS HELPED ME WITH DEPRESSION
AND MEETING ALL THE BRILLIANT PEOPLE ALONG THE WAY HAS GIVEN ME THE CONFIDENCE
AND STRENGTH TO CARRY ON HAVING OSTEOARTHRITIS,ME CRAFT IS THE ONE THING
THAT NO ONE CAN TAKE AWAY FROM ME AND THE ONE THING THAT I CAN CREATE,TO MAKE
SOMETHING SO BEAUTIFUL KNOWING THAT I CAN MAKE SOMEONE ELSE SMILE IS ENOUGH FOR

Jackie's Bio I'm Jackie and I'm 50 years young, I'm married to a vicar and we have 2 grown up daughters. I live in the beautiful county of Cumbria where I work part time as a nurse caring for the elderly at the local cottage hospital.
